One of five circular 'sun' motifs carved onto a large
easterly curb stone at the Dowth Passage Grave, which is part of a huge cemetery
complex in a bend of the river Boyne. There is a considerable amount of Rock Art
to be discovered in an area that has a large proportion of all the Neolithic Art
in Europe. Photographed during an Archaeology Safari to Ireland in the area north
and west of Dublin 27th September 2003.
